Scan & Bake: Our Pizza Dough Recipe Is Now Just a QR Code Away

Ever wanted our dough recipe on hand while you're standing at your kitchen bench, hands already dusted with flour? So did we - which is why we've teamed up with our friends at StickerDot to put this recipe on a little QR sticker.

You'll start spotting the QR code stickers on our takeaway boxes and around the shop over the next few weeks. Give it a scan with your phone's camera and it'll bring you straight back to this page - no typing in a URL, no searching, just an easy scan and bake.

While our Classic Neapolitan Pizza Dough Recipe is the one to reach for when you've got time for an overnight ferment, this same-day version is for those "pizza tonight" moments - ready to stretch in a few hours, no fridge required.

Makes:

Pizza Dough Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Mix the dough - Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. In a large bowl (or stand mixer with a dough hook), combine the flour and salt, then gradually add the water. Mix for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. First rise - Shape into a ball, cover, and leave at room temperature for 1 hour, or until visibly puffed up.
  3. Divide and rest - Divide the dough into 4 equal balls. Place in a lightly floured proofing box and leave to rest for a further 1.5-2 hours at room temperature, until soft and pillowy.
  4. Stretch, top and bake - Dust a clean surface generously with semolina. Gently stretch a dough ball into a base. Top with hand-crushed San Marzano tomatoes and Fior di Latte mozzarella, then bake in a pizza oven at 400 degrees for around 2 minutes, or in a very hot home oven until the crust is blistered and golden.

Keep an eye out for the sticker next time you grab a takeaway box from us - and if you'd like a sticker of your own, just ask next time you're in store.
